Not a big novel reader, but this book is amazing. Have passed it around to so many friends. Learned things about the more modern history of the Jewish people that I never knew. Great read!

"Israel - My Beloved" really makes you think! The main character, Israel, follows the life journey of a woman, but is a symbol of the people of Israel. As a woman (and a people), Israel continues to turn away from the One who truly loves her and begs her time and again to return to Him. You can easily see why the choices she made in her life lead to so much sorrow and can easily equate this to what is happening to God's chosen people as they continue to rebel. Loved it!
