News correspondents seem to have a recurring message: I've never seen anything like this before…this is the worst natural disaster on record; the images are difficult to view. How do you respond to someone who asks you, "What's going on in our world?" Kay writes:
When tragedy strikes, I immediately turn to God's Word. I need to remember who He is... what He has done... why I trust Him. And in those precious pages of Scripture, I always come face-to-face with my loving Father. I still may not understand why bad things happen, but I know God is in control.
He "has established His throne in the heavens, and His sovereignty rules over all" (Psalm 103:19).
